We are proud to announce that Kellogg has reached its 2020 goal to help improve the livelihoods of 15,000 smallholder farmers through on the ground projects. As a global food company, Kellogg recognizes the critical need for this work and the positive impact it can have to help achieve long-term environmental, economic and social sustainability.
Our ability to scale this work four years ahead of schedule and hit the target within two years is through our continued commitment and strong collaboration with NGOs and other partners that provide training and technical assistance. These efforts have resulted in increased yields, improved climate resilience, and improved livelihoods for smallholder farmers and their families.
We are thrilled to have achieved this milestone early but recognize there is opportunity to make an even greater impact in the future. We will continue our efforts toward the commitment we’ve made to support 500,000 farmers worldwide through climate smart agriculture practices, training and partnership with suppliers, NGOs and other key stakeholders.
