Walmart recently launched its “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” initiative to provide 75 million meals to Feeding America and its network of food banks across the U.S. The retailer invited Kellogg Company to participate in the initiative because of our ongoing global commitment to hunger relief.
For every purchase of a specially marked Kellogg food between April and early May of 2015, Kellogg donated the monetary equivalent of one meal ($0.10) to Feeding America. At the end of the initiative, Kellogg’s total donation reached more than $1.6 million – that’s more than 16 million meals to food banks nationwide.
Kellogg employees joined the cause, too, by participating in food drives organized by the company at many Kellogg U.S. locations. All food collected at Kellogg food drives will benefit Feeding America food banks in the local communities where Kellogg employees live and work.
