Q:

How much philanthropy does the Kellogg company do? From a business standpoint it would be a good idea to do as much philanthropy as possible because the people you help get on there feet now will be loyal customers in the future because of how you helped them. Thank you for the consideration.

A:

The most positive impact we can have – not only in local communities, but all over the world – is through our food. Giving back has been a strong belief of the Kellogg Company for over a century, and our Breakfasts for Better Days® initiative will donate one billion servings of cereal and snacks by the end of 2016 to those in need. Kellogg Company and the Kellogg Company Fund will reach this goal by expanding breakfast programs and maximizing product donations around the world. In the U.S., we partner with Action for Healthy Kids, Campaign to End Childhood Hunger and Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to increase participation in the federally funded school breakfast program.

Additionally, we donate products to Feeding America and its national network of 200 food banks. Kellogg Company and Kellogg's Corporate Citizenship Fund (KCCF) also provide funding for charitable donations.
