How processed are your cereals?
Cereal, in general, is relatively simple to make. And while the recipes vary, we first start by cooking the grains and drying them. They’re then either shredded, flaked or puffed, toasted, and mixed with other cooked ingredients for flavor.
It’s true that Kellogg has evolved to use more energy efficient technology, but in many ways, the simple steps of making traditional Corn Flakes® or Rice Krispies® are pretty similar to how you would make them in your own kitchen.
