I heard that you can cut calories and lose weight by skipping breakfast. Is that true?
There is an old saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it really is true. While skipping breakfast may save a few calories in the short term, lots of nutrition research shows that people who skip breakfast tend to weigh more than people who regularly eat breakfast. Plus, people who forgo breakfast tend to miss out on important food groups like fruit, whole grains and dairy as well as important nutrients like vitamins and minerals, that they don’t make up for later in the day.
